It brings together documentaries, courses, guided meditations, events and community in a single product with premium access. From Become Yoo we took care of the UX design, part of the front-end and the WordPress plugin ecosystem that sustains the video platform.

About the project
Design and development of a video and community platform for Wake Up, the Spanish-language digital space for self-knowledge.
Wake Up brings together documentaries, guided meditations, courses, transformative travel and community groups on a single platform. A broad, constantly growing catalog that needs a flexible and scalable architecture to sustain both content consumption and editorial management.
From Become Yoo we owned the UX/UI design of the experience, the user-facing front-end implementation and the build of a custom WordPress plugin ecosystem managing the product's backend: catalog categorization, premium access, subscriptions, community and events.

Scope
The scope ranges from user research and wireframing to full visual design, front-end markup of the main screens and the creation of custom WordPress plugins to manage the product's backend: videos, categories, premium access, community and events.
We worked alongside the Wake Up team and the other internal profiles at Become Yoo to turn an editorial proposition into a solid digital product: a segmentable catalog, user accounts with different access tiers and a CMS the client runs without relying on ongoing development.

Results
What does this project bring to the client?
Wake Up ended up with a unified, robust and scalable platform, capable of hosting a growing catalog of documentaries, meditations and courses, with an integrated subscription system and a technical base ready to keep evolving with the business.
The custom plugin ecosystem lets the editorial team publish, organize and monetize content frictionlessly, while the carefully crafted user experience reinforces Wake Up's positioning as a Spanish-language leader in self-knowledge.
